Helen Mulligan is the founder and lead designer of Tilia Planting Design, a female-led planting design and garden care studio based in High Barnet, North London.

​

Following a successful career in marketing, Helen pursued her lifelong passion for plants and gardens, retraining at Capel Manor College, where she gained a Level 3 Diploma in Garden Design.

​

Helen specialises in creating beautiful, sustainable planting schemes that bring colour, texture and seasonal interest to outdoor spaces. Inspired by naturalistic planting and environmentally responsible gardening, she designs gardens that feel relaxed, welcoming and full of life, while supporting local wildlife and biodiversity.

Working alongside a small team of experienced plantswomen, Helen offers a personal and collaborative approach, helping clients transform their gardens through thoughtful planting design, plant sourcing, installation and ongoing garden care.
